In the Substack column linked to below, I manually assembled the first two classic sections of quotes over the decades, a collection I hoped would grow into content for a future book with about 50 categories of Hooks, Lines, and Zingers.
As with all categories covered thus far in my Substack column, I need fresh copy (from the 21st Century!). I asked Claude to provide 15 newer quotes for the column. It found a mix of genuine wit and hard-nosed industry candor from recent marketing and PR experts (some still living).
Claude provided a caveat: ...“given how much you care about sourcing: these come largely from secondary compilation sites rather than primary interviews or books, so I'd treat the wording as "close" rather than gospel.” For your consideration:
